Let me introduce myself, Adam Hillier. I’m a professional photographer, the lead photographer for Adam Hillier Photography.
I’m a family man, married with 3 young children, Ben, Joseph and Lucy
I have been a photography enthusiast from a very early age – furthered by many years studying and multiple forms of creativity from graphic design, fashion and fine art. Having studied advertising, media and marketing at the highly acclaimed Ravensbourne College of Art and Design, the use of photography continued to grow.
After college, I embarked on a life changing journey around the world, a photographic adventure though Singapore, South East Asia and Australia with only a very basic point and shoot camera (which didn’t even have a zoom!!). This put my photography skills and my photojournalism skills to the test – no digital images or digital post production – yet the challenge of creating an emotive, pictorial “diary” record of my travels, adventures and experiences (good and bad).
On return from my travels, I worked for many years in advertising and media with the likes of the Daily Mirror group and Yellow Pages, frequently using photography in a commercial and corporate arena helping companies build and develop their image and brand.
My love for being creative combined with the birth of our first child back in 2003 saw my photography start up again. I feel now, as though I am a very lucky person. Having the business Adam Hillier Photography, I’m in the enviable position of being able to pursue so many of my interests and passions – people (young and old), creativity and imagery and most importantly having fun – all through my love for photography.
