Let me tell you a little bit about me. My name is Laura Cassar and I am an assistant working at Adam Hillier Photography.
I’m from a small coastal town called Worthing just down the road from Brighton. I went to college in Chichester where I decided to study Theatrical costume and make up earning a BTEC national Diploma. After a short break I started temping in accountancy, which was only meant to be temporary but 6 years later I was still in the job. I still kept my hand in making fancy dress costumes not only myself but also my friends. In 2005 the creative bug in me decided it was time to go back to school. Due to work commitments the only sensible option I had was to enrol in a night school course. After much consideration I decided on following my lifelong passion for creativity and I chose a City & Guilds in photography. This helped me learn the fundamentals of capturing and developing beautiful imagery.
I moved to Hampshire in 2006 following work and then onto Newbury in 2009 where I continued to work in accounts. This was until one random day I accompanied a friend to her newborns photo shoot. The shoot just happened to be taking place at Adam’s studio, what are the chances? While Adam was clicking away we got talking and the rest you can say is history.
