Get the most from YOUR portrait session

To get the most out of your portrait session, it is good to give it a bit of thought before hand, to help I have a brief questionnaire that helps me get the most from your shoot for you, you can download it here.

Depending on what sort of portrait you have in mind we will also need to consider the following, its this planning that makes it personal to you.

Studio or on location?

When you book your session we will discuss different location options. I have a fully equipped professional studio just outside of Newbury, find out more about our photography studio in Newbury, Berkshire click here.

Alternatively we can arrange for me to come to your home or a mutually agreed upon location that offers a nice backdrop and good lighting and do an on location portrait session. This could be a favourite park, in the woods, in the garden or even a lovely beach or a world of other locations.

What time of day?

Wardrobe, what shall we wear?

Shall we bring Props?

Think carefully with regards props, they can be fantastic and really theme a great photo when used subtley. Props with children (favourite toys, big soft toys etc) can be great fun and can really help them feel comfortable, but be aware that they can also be a distraction so do give this some thought… read more
