Photographing Your Wedding Ceremony
The next part of your story is the coverage throughout your ceremony, from your guests arriving and seating in readiness for the arrival of the bride Through to signing the register and walking down the Aisle as Husband and Wife. Some lovely moments with the nervously awaiting groom before the bride makes her entrance.
Whether we are able to find a discreet spot at the front of the church or if indeed we have to be at the rear, we will capture as much of the ceremony as the vicar/registrar will allow. Naturally we prefer to be positioned at the front of the church, tucked quietly into a corner, so we get to closely see those exchanged glances and smiles, but still some vicars/registrars are uncomfortable with photographers (a hangover from old fashioned photographers who couldn’t work without flash and thought it to be OK jumping over the pews in the church!!).
Right equipment to do the job
Over the years we have invested heavily in equipment and are able to work with the natural available light even in a relatively dimly lit church, so no need for flash and certainly no need to be leaping over pews!! So we are very discreet throughout the ceremony, so we don’t distract you or the vicar/registrar. However, If the vicar/registrar is against photography through the service then we are more than happy to speak to them and to reassure them that we are experienced and respectful – sometimes this can help build the relationship helping us to get the ideal photos for you of your ceremony.
